We have organized the above workshop to bridge the knowledge gap among Public Health Midwives to raise the awareness on recent changes in the maternal and child health care in Sri Lanka to improve the quality of services delivered at field setting. It was held on 31st July 2017 at Kalutara Kachcheri.
We are proud to start it at Kalutara District as an effort to strengthen the ongoing activities organized by Hon Minister of Health to uplift the standard of health care in the district. Depending on the feed backs this workshop will be rolled out at National Level.
Three hundred Public Health Midwives at community level at Kalutara District participated in the above workshop. We invited several National Directors from Family Health Bureau (FHB), Obstetricians, Paediatricians, Neonatologists and Community physicians as resource persons and few top officials from Ministry of Health. We organized this with FHB, RDHS Office at Kalutara in collaboration with Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka.
